I bought this to store special messages, cards and letters from my grandchildren that I don't want to part with and which have been accumulating in a drawer, therefore it won't take a lot of wear and tear and I cannot review it as such.It's not a large box but it looks pretty on my bedroom chest of drawers; I've had to fold some of the cards to fit them in but there's plenty of depth. The clasp is sturdy enough for my purposes and the handle looks fairly strong.I have a second box from the same company in which I store sunglasses, spectacle cases, cleaner etc. It's shallower but has a larger base; either would do for storing special cards, letters etc. and suit my purposes very well.
