I was hesitant buying this book. I already know accounting through work and didn't think there was much to learn, a little like buying a diet book although you already know how to eat healthy and exercise. I've always been ok with money, but never quite managed to apply any structure or budgeting to my own life. I don't spend more than I have and my budgeting ends there. I've also always liked to do what men do when it comes to business and don't really how I ended up with a feminine book in my hands. I read it anyway and boy do I have lots to learn. She taught me, whether I liked it or not what investing is all about, why I should do it, why and how to plan for the future and make sure at least your money doesn't lose value as time go by. Did you for example know that money in the bank loses its value at about 3% annually so you should definitely find a savings account that will give you more than 3% interest.It's a great book and easy to read. Anyone who doesn't know why she pays what she pays for her electrics or which grocery store would be cheaper for her personal buys, buy it and while you're at it apply for a broker as well.
