There is an override key in case the batteries die or you forget your combination. Barska had the safe tested for fire protection and is fireproof for up to 30 minutes at 1,200 degrees F.

Inside the Barska AX13614 Keypad Fireproof Jewelry Safe is a protective carpeted interior. A motion sensor LED light (that operates on 4 AAA batteries which are not included) is included at no extra charge. This light will turn on when you open the door and turn off when you close the door so that you can conveniently see your items in the dark.
