There are 2 pre-drilled mounting holes in the bottom of the safe to secure to a solid surface. The lock is a digital lock that allows you to program your own 3 to 8 digit pin code for quick access. Barska had the safe tested for fire protection and is fireproof for up to 30 minutes at 1,200 degrees F.

Inside the Barska AX13616 Keypad Fireproof Jewelry Safe is a protective carpeted interior. A motion sensor LED light (that operates on 4 AAA batteries which are not included) is included at no extra charge. This light will turn on when you open the door and turn off when you close the door so that you can conveniently see your items in the dark. There are convenient key hooks on the door to hang items you use often. The outside is painted with an attractive white finish.
