One of the coolest looking safes that offers both burglar & fire protection is the Browning 1878-13 Closet Burglar & 90 Minute Fire Safe. Browning has built this NEW line of safes based on the year they were founded in 1878. It has many standard features and it looks great at the same time. Let's check out some of these features.

The security on the Browning 1878-13 features an 11-gauge body as well as a 1-1/4" formed door. There are a total of 7bolts including 4 active that are 1-1/4" thick. This is designed to prevent pry attacks to the door. The boltwork is 3-way as well. The hinges are exterior and are heavy duty. Browning gives you a choice of either an S&G mechanical dial combination lock or you can upgrade to an S&G Electronic Lock. Both locks are UL listed. The lock is protected by a re-locker and hardened steel pins. 

Browning was able to get the 1878-13 Burglar & Fire Safe UL Tool Attack listed for UL Residential Security Container (RSC) rated. It also features a 90-minute fire rating tested at outside temperatures up to 1680 degrees F. The inside features 4 CMS shelves that are fully adjustable and 1 pistol rack to store your pistols inside. The interior walls and shelves are fabric lined. 

The outside dimensions of the Browning 1878-13 Burglar & Fire Safe are perfect to fit inside any closet space. They are 42.00" high by 26.00" wide by 21.00" deep. The inside features 6.30 cubic feet of interior space for plenty of storage for your valuables and paperwork. This closet safe has 4 holes in the bottom to bolt to a solid surface (highly recommended).
