The main reason for this safe's existence is for those that own historical, unique, or antique handguns to be able to display them but also protect them. Or maybe you just want to display your 1911. Locking them in a traditional handgun safe will offer protection, but it won't be displayed. A common question about the InvictaSafe Handgun Display Safe is about how secure it is. If you look at the specs, you can tell that it's just as secure as most traditional handgun safes. It uses 12 gauge steel all the way around the front, plus bulletproof ballistic glass, and the rest of the box is 14 gauge steel. It uses a technology called a box within a box. You can open the front unit and behind you can put magazines or other items which will remain hidden.

Quick access is also important, especially in an emergency. All it takes to access your firearm is to put the key in, turn it and open the door. Your firearm is held in place by rare earth magnets which will make it look like it is floating in mid-air. The LED includes with included remote controller will highlight your firearm.

• The box size is approximately 24.00" H x 20.00" W x 8.00" D. This is also the approximate size of the viewing window that allows for larger pistols or multiple firearms.

• How does the firearm appear to float inside? There are powerful rare earth magnets that are wrapped in a leather-like substance that allows for easy movement of the magnets. 
• The InvictaSafe Handgun Display Safe utilizes a 12v 2 AMP power source to the LED lights that comes with a remote controller. This allows you to turn up and down the level of brightness and allows for modulation or a strobe effect at varying speeds.
• Each safe is made by local fabricators in Illinois. It is built with Ballistic Glass that is cut to InvictaSafe's specifications. The remaining pieces and parts are sourced from a variety of manufacturers. The final assembly takes place in the Aurora, IL USA facility. 
• Designed to be mounted to the wall but can be flush mounted depending on the depth of your wall. 
• Red is not the only color for the background display available. Choose from 4 standard background colors (powder coated): Red, Black, Blue, or Silver.
