The walls are designed with double steel wall construction and there is fire resistant insulation in between to help keep your contents protected in the event of a fire. It doesn't have a fire rating, but it is fire resistant.
Other security features on the Honeywell 6109 Digital Fire Resistant Security Safe include a key lock with 2 entry keys included. Inside is a foam padded floor to protect your contents from being scratched. You can use the included tether cable to secure to a solid surface (example: bed frame, desk leg or car trunk). Honeywell includes a 1 year limited warranty with the 6109.
